Another tiny catalonian fishermen´s village, Calella de Palafrugell. Incredibly charming and only some minutes driving away from St.Pere de Pescador and Palamos. This one is really colorful with it old white houses and narrow streets, and full of chill, not like an industrial Palamos. This day the see was even more dramatic than usual.
Cars, dogs and people at the 8th concentracio de VW in Sant Pere Pescador, June 4th 2011
This time we let TTT stand outside of the La Ballena Allegra campsite where the 8th annual VW meeting was held. The location was just perfect on the beac, in the middle of the bay of Roses famouse for its winds, so no wonder the national championship in windserfing is tradirionally held on the same day. This year we were here just as an audience, but we hope to come here with TTT or TT one day.
Lot's of bright cars, people and dogs were spottet that day.
Girona, June 3 2011.
As you can see, the weather that day was not in the good mood, so we decided to use this grey day to discover our local capital. Girona city is the 2nd biggest city in Catalunya after Barcelona and is called for a capital of Costa Brava region. So many times we have been to all the small places around it, but we have never really paid it a proper visit. So today we decided to do something about it and took the bus here. It takes just 40 min by bus to come here from Platja d´Aro.
The old part of the city is really nice with the river running through it, the tiny streets and ramblas reminding the ones in Barcelona, its jewish quarter and a cathedral famous for once being a wedding venue for Dali.
They also have this bridge designed by Eifel. You can really see the resemblance with the tower in Paris.

The wall is surrounding the old town and you can walk on it overlooking the whole historical centrum.
